Terms of service.

1. What the service does

DocsUpdater analyzes a GitHub pull request against documentation in repositories you have granted access to, opens an application URL you configure, and prepares a proposed documentation update with screenshots.

Everything it produces is a draft for your review. DocsUpdater does not write to your repositories and does not publish documentation. You decide what, if anything, gets published.

2. Your account

You sign in with GitHub, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. Projects and runs belong to the account that created them; there are no shared workspaces or team roles at this time. You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of the organization you represent.

3. The access you grant

You choose which repositories the DocsUpdater GitHub App may read, and which application URL and test account it may use. You confirm that you are authorized to grant that access — that the repositories, environments, and accounts are yours or your organization’s, or that you have permission to let DocsUpdater use them.

We strongly recommend a staging or preview environment and a dedicated, least-privileged test account. An automated browser session can create, change, or delete data in whatever application you point it at, and you are responsible for the environment you choose.

You can revoke access at any time from your GitHub settings. To have a project and its history deleted, email support@docsupdater.com.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not point DocsUpdater at systems you are not authorized to access.
• Do not use it to circumvent access controls, scrape third-party services, or send automated traffic to systems that have not consented to it.
• Do not attempt to break the isolation between accounts, or to access another customer’s runs or data.
• Do not resell or share your monthly run capacity outside your organization.

5. Your content and your results

Your code, documentation, and application remain yours. We claim no ownership of them, and no ownership of the drafts and screenshots a run produces — they are yours to edit, publish, or discard.

Results are generated automatically and are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete. A run can miss a change, describe behavior imprecisely, or fail to reach part of your application. Review every result before you publish it. You are responsible for what you publish.

6. Plans, runs, and payment

• One run analyzes one pull request. Manual runs, automatic runs after a merge, and retries each use one run from your monthly allowance.
• Allowances reset each billing period and do not carry over.
• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from the billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
• Payments are not refundable except where the law requires it. If a run fails because of a fault on our side rather than your configuration, email support@docsupdater.com and we will credit it back to your allowance.
• We may change prices or plan limits. We will give notice before a change affects an existing subscription.

7. Availability

The service is provided as it is, without an uptime commitment or service level agreement. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to copy and download your results.

8. Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, DocsUpdater is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or the consequences of publishing a result without reviewing it.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the service at any time by canceling your plan and revoking the GitHub App’s access. We may suspend or end an account that breaches these terms, or that puts the service or other customers at risk. On request, we will delete your account and the data belonging to it.

10. Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date above and noted on this page; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
